Presence 2026: A Year of Painting What You Actually Feel

Presence 2026: A Year of Painting What You Actually Feel

Welcome to the first entry of the Studio Time Journal — a place where creativity, community, and the deeper layers of our lives meet on the page before they meet on the canvas.

My word for 2026 is Presence.
Not perfection.
Not productivity.
Presence.

Presence is the moment you pause before the brush touches the water.
It is the breath before a bold stroke.
It is the awareness of your body, your emotions, your truth — all of them — showing up with you in the studio.

Inside Studio Time this coming year, we’re exploring Presence not as a buzzword but as a practice. A creative posture. A way of honoring your own rhythms and capacities. When you show up fully — even imperfectly — your art changes. And so do you.

Studio Time remains a gentle, grounding space to practice this.
A place to belong.
A place to breathe.
A place to paint without apology.

PS: If you're not yet part of Studio Time, you can join us for only $10/month or $97/year — because creativity should feel accessible, not intimidating.

With Presence,
Anita
